Hi! I'm Kien Giang Le, a senior from The Olympia School, living in Hanoi, Vietnam.

 

To me, art isn't just about looking pretty; it should make you think, feel, and maybe even take action. Like Vietnamese medieval poets, I believe that creations of nature are the highest form of beauty on Earth. Every piece I create, whether it's a pencil sketch, watercolor painting, photography, or even a 3D model, has a connection to nature!

 

I grew up in Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam, and it is also a living museum. I see the echoes of our prosperous dynasties, the destruction of wars, and periods of development that are all around. To me, the vibrant communal housing, the ancient temples—they're all part of the soul of Hanoi.

 

Because of that, my art is how I embrace the heritage of my beloved city, Hanoi. When I explore different mediums, from photography and graphics to physical models, I am fascinated by the world of architecture and the way to create buildings that live in harmony with nature while still honoring the beauty of our past.
